2020: ECLC celebrates 50 years of offering “Education, Careers & Lifelong Community” to nearly 900 adults and children with special needs from 11 counties across New Jersey. Former ECLC Trustee Peter Petrou becomes the new executive director, following the retirement of Bruce Litinger. While leaders may change, the organization’s dedication and commitment to serving people with special needs remains steadfast.
2023: We celebrated a major milestone with the grand opening of the new Bergen PRIDE Center in Saddle Brook to serve adults with special needs. This beautiful new facility allows the PRIDE program to expand while continuing to offer the same high-quality, enriching program as in the previous location.
2024: ECLC purchased a new building in Parsippany to accommodate the growing enrollment in PRIDE. Clients are temporarily attending the program at the Stanley Center in Chatham Borough, until the building is ready for them!
