Jesse epitomizes the payoff all ECLC students receive to prepare for life as an adult. A graduate of our Chatham school, this year Jesse is celebrating 19 years working part-time with the Township of Verona Community Services Department.
He is a client of Community Personnel Services and “loves his job!” supporting seniors as a medical transport dispatcher and pitching in with other calls about recreation.
Jesse is popular with the seniors and makes sure they get rides to their medical appointments, excursions, and parties. He is the longest serving member of the department and well-liked by coworkers, whether he’s reminding them about an upcoming birthday or simply sharing his warm smile.
While Jesse specializes in senior support, he is capable of handling every call coming into the busy department and handing it off to the right coworker.
His job coach, Christine, adds: “It’s a pleasure to work with Jesse because he enjoys his job so much, and he’s great at it!”
